On 5 June 2014 at the Technical University of Wroclaw conference DO IT GLOBAL Globalization – challenges for universities and Business was held. The conference was organized by the Wroclaw University of Technology and an MBA PONTS WROCLAW. The conference was divided into two discussion panels. First – Globalisation and its challenges for the university and the Business Second – Education at the University of the Third Generation.

The conference was opened Alon Rozen – Dean of ENPC MBA Paris-who in his speech described the requirements of a modern economy required from managers. He pointed out the way for modern manager to become effective. The WROCLAW PONTS MBA program supported by ENPC MBA Paris is appropriate way. Another element of the conference was a discussion panel called “Globalization – challenges for universities and business”, which was attended by Rector of Wroclaw University of Technology professor. Tadeusz Wieckowski and managers of major Polish companies: Zbigniew Jagiello – President of PKO BP, Leszek Czarnecki – Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Getin Holding, Krzysztof Domarecki – President Selena SA, Krzysztof Pietraszkiewicz – President of the Association of Polish Banks, Margaret Ryniak – Director of Volvo IT and Prof. Roman Galar. The discussion concerned the requirements posed by the modern economy before the graduates of technical universities, as well as the impact of globalization on local Entrepreneurs.

In the second discussion panel called “Education at the Third Generation University”, was attended by Monika Cwynar-Kepa – HR Site Manager NOKIA Wroclaw, Jadwiga Gajda – Graduated from ENPC Paris Tech, Agata Sala – HR Manager CEE QAD, Mariusz Mazurkiewicz – Director of Wroclaw Ponts MBA and Marek Zuk – SMB Knowledge Transfer Manager Engine Project.
The panel truly engaged in defining the Third Generation University.
Discussion focused on the readiness of Polish universities, especially PWr to cooperate with business in accordance with the model of the Third Generation University.
As an example of the concept of the Third Generation University was presented by Mark Zuk ENGINE project implemented at the Department of Computer Science and Management at the Institute of Computer Science.

At the end , prof. Zdzisław Szalbierz- Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Management gave the summarizing presentation.
