Massimo Tornatore – new visiting professor
Professor Massimo Tornatore will visit our University from June 23 to June 28, 2014.
Massimo Tornatore is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Informatics st Polytechnic University of di Milan, Italy, where he received a degree (Laurea) in telecommunications Engineering in 2001 and a Ph.D. in Information Engineering in May 2006. From 2007 to 2009, he was a post-doc researcher in the computer science department at the University of California, Davis, where he is still collaborating as a visiting researcher. He is co-author of more than 80 conference and journal papers and his research interests include design, protection, energy efficiency, traffic grooming in optical networks and group communication security. Tornatore is co-winner of the Optical Networking Symposium Best Paper Awards at the IEEE Globecom 2008, IEEE ANTS 2008, IEEE Latincom 2010 and IEEE ANTS (best poster) 2009 conferences.
