Second day of workshop “Transfer of ideas – together is always better than on your own”
October 16th, 2014 is the second day of the Workshop “Transfer of ideas – together is always better than on your own” organized by the ENGINE Project in cooperation with Center for Scientific and Technical Information of Wroclaw University of Technology (CWINT).
The first block of presentations, with Dr. Waldemar Grzebyk – acting Deputy Director of CWINT for the Transfer of Technology, Dr. Jacek Firlej – Deputy Director of the Wroclaw Centre for Technology Transfer and dr Piotr Otręba – Head of Intellectual Property and Patent Information Unit of CWINT concerned the commercialization of research results in the Wroclaw University of Technology, experience in technology transfer and intellectual property issues. Peter Szymanski Silicon Valley Counsel gave a presentation on raising funds for business development from the perspective of Silicon Valley. After networking break, about their experiences of cooperating with universities told business representatives Rafal Gnojnicki CEO of Synaptise SA and Dariusz Ciborski CEO of VBA, while guests from the Czech Republic, Hradec Kralove: prof. Ondřej Krejcar and prof. Kamil Kuča spoke about technology transfer practices and collaboration between universities and industry in Czech Republic and abroad. Third part of 2nd day of the Workshop was panel discussion led by prof. Halina Kwaśnicka on the benefits of joint action between science and industry with the participation of:

Workshop was concluded by interactive seminar about opportunities for polish entrepreneurs on US market conducted by Peter Szymanski – Silicon Valley Counsel.
