New postdocs in ENGINE project
Dr. Alexandre Savio and Dr. José A. Sáezhave started employment as postdocs in the ENGINE project. They will collaborate with the Machine Learning group leaded by Prof. Michał Woźniak especially in the field of medical imaging, data analysis and compund pattern classification.
Dr. Alexandre [Manhães] Savio is interested in brain MRI analysis, medical imaging applications and free software development. He did his PhD studies in the University of the Basque Country, Spain, where he was also awarded two prizes for startup project ideas and is one of the chairmen of the EuroPython 2015. He has publications in NeuroComputing, Expert Systems with Applications, Human Brain Mapping and Computers in Biology and Medicine and many conference papers. He is also interested in novel data analysis methods and computer vision.
Dr. José A. Sáez received the M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Granada (Granada, Spain) in 2009 and 2014, respectively. His main research interests are data mining, classification, noisy data, discretization methods and imbalanced learning.
